Quail Point

Managed a quick 9 holes yesterday at a course in Medford that Syd and I had overlooked a few years ago - we dismissed it as a short 9 hole course - in fact, it's longer than Banchory and in pristine condition. It's in the middle of a retirement community - you can tell it's mostly Seniors who play there as, despite only being 9 holes, there are additional rest rooms at the 4th tee and 7th green - I guess the old boys can't make it all the way round!

I was due to be playing with another two but they never showed, so I ended up on my own, playing 2 balls - fine for the first 4 holes, which I raced round, but then I caught up with a slow fourball - they offered to let me through but I was happy to sit back and take in the scenery. Here I am at the 3rd tee:

Just received a text from Malcolm this morning - he's over on the West Coast as well - currently overlooking Pebble Beach - but not playing! Maybe it was the $400 green fee that put him off! - or perhaps it was Susan!
