St Andrews Bay

Keith, Malcolm, his son Matthew and I played St Andrews Bay again on Friday afternoon, using Keith's remaining voucher (he had already used one and I had used both of mine for the Midsummer Outing). It was a totally different course from the one we played just 10 weeks ago. This time the first 4 holes were from the old Torrance course and the next 14 were the Devlin. There was even more work going on this time as they prepare the Torrance for an Open qualifier - it was like a building site at the start and spoiled the overall ambience.

We still had fun, however and Keith played well - he and I beat Malcolm and Matt. Keith had a bit of bunker trouble later on:

Malcolm's approach shot to one of the greens ran up against a small wall overhanging the bay. He had to go way down the shaft to have any chance of playing a shot:

Keith posed at the same hole:
Keith, Annette, Jo and I stayed overnight - naturally a couple of beers at Whey Pat and a curry at the Balaka were a given!
