Winter Grand Prix 22nd Feb 09

It was a fine sunny day as we resumed the Winter GP after a snow enforced break, albeit with a biting wind coming in from the west. Jack was still feeling the effects of his sore ankle and opted to take the buggy - here he is down at the (summer) 14th where some of the trees had suffered from the weather.


The Water Board's works to lay new pipes have still not been completed and the area around the (summer) 15th green is the one that is the biggest mess. That rare winter migrant, the Greater Crested Sharp bird was looking on:



Still it was nice to get out again - and we were able to play on mostly summer greens, which, incidentally, had actually been cut - I don't recall this ever having been done in February before.
