It was the evening of the Champions League final and the footballers' foursome set off early at 3:45 pm. We decided we would have a match and, spookily, the Barcelona team (McRae and Stewart) beat the Man Utd team (Sharp and Black) by 2 holes/goals - a portent of things to come.

Ian McRae was once again doing his Seve impression - all over the place but scrambling wonderfully well. He ended up winning on the last three holes countback over Keith. Here's Ian playing his 2nd shot at the 15th - for once not far off the fairway - with Ken looking on and Messrs Dring, Grant and Gray in the background, just leaving the 14th tee:
