Balmoral 2009

What a glorious evening it was for our 9th annual trip to Balmoral. Regrettably, the event has to be restricted to just 6 of us - and it's a case of dead men's shoes, I'm afraid. That doesn't mean that the Balmoral golf course is very upmarket - quite the opposite - it's quite country couthy, but it's a beautiful spot and we always have a great social evening here - that is, unless you have the misfortune of having to drive!

Here's the scorecard for visitors:

Bill tees off at the 7th, watched by Dick and Norrie:

Dick had some trouble off the tee at the 8th - the rough is fiercesome:

I set up the camera on auto-shoot, but noticed that it was sitting at a jaunty angle, so Dick and I improvised to level off the photo:

Norrie, Bill, Dick and I lined up in front of Prince Albert:

Even the midges behaved themselves this year - and then we retired to the clubhouse for our self catering meal - supplies courtesy of Tesco, via Peter. Peter and I drove the drunks home after midnight.
Looking forward to our 10th anniversary next year!
