For the second day in a row, I was the winner, and not having received my prize ball the day before, Syd presented me with 2 of them - one for each day:

After golf and lunch, some of us made a brief (and slightly embarrassing) trip back to Flaxby Park to sort out what had been believed to have been an anomaly in the amount charged, but we still had time for a trip in to the town centre of Knaresborough for a quick visit to Blind Jack's, which is an old pub, run by the daughter of one of the Torphins Seniors:

In the evening, pre-dinner aperitifs were taken at the Old Bell Tavern, an excellent pub with a great selection of ales. Here's some of the group enjoying themselves:

Rob found a beer mat (Delerium Tremens) which he placed in my top pocket and asked me to pose appropriately - like a fool, I agreed:

Bill and Sally split, as did Dave and Doris, but the rest of us went to the Chinese restaurant, located in the old Royal Baths, and had an excellent slap-up meal. The surroundings are grand, and the service was hugely attentive - they even put us at the best table in the house - a circular one, with a large Lazy Susan, immediately under the large domed ceiling:
