John only went awry once last night - at the 12th where his tee shot ended up in the practice area:
He still managed to chip and 2-putt for a 4 and another 2 points in the bag, however.
John's playing partner did even better at that hole - blading an iron off the tee that barely left the ground, then ran over the bridge, ending up within inches of the burn:
Rob chipped and putted for his par 3 and an unlikely half at that hole, proving once and for all that there is no God.
In the end, it was another Ken that saved Gordon from the DoD. It was only Mr. Black's second appearance of the season and his first DoD for 3 years. Coincidentally, it was also John's first win for 3 years, and he gleefully accepted the prize ball from me:
Despite his relatively poor showing on the night, by virtue of clocking up his 10th game of the season, Ian D finally made it to the top of the leader board, as we all knew he would eventually:
