Three fewer turned out on Thursday for the replay of Q1's aborted round - the gruppenführer himself was absent, as was Keith - and Jack, who was at work for the very last time. By default therefore, Rob delegated the match reporting duties to the obergruppenführer, who reports as follows:

It turned out to be a fine evening in the end, although our man from the Algarve found it a trifle cold at times and donned what looked like a pixie hat, which, allied to his new white beard, gave him a very gnome-like appearance:

Scoring was generally modest - with just two exceptions. Last year's champion was in fine form and carried on where he left off last season. Les presented him with the first 2016 ball:
