Smooth journey down - just a short delay in Aberdeen - but we got to Marrakech mid-afternoon and our agents were there with the bus, waiting for us. We all thought it was one of the nicest airports we had seen:
It was a short drive to Palmeraie Village and we had settled in to our apartments in good time to unpack and then meet up for pre-dinner G & T's in the larger apartment shared by Dick, Malcolm and I.
The Village is a gated community of villas and apartments a couple of clicks away from the main hotel, but there are regular shuttle buses running back and forward and we jumped in one of them and decided to try Narjis, the Moroccan restaurant there - one of a dozen restaurants/bars at Palmeraie Golf Palace hotel (http://www.pgpmarrakech.com/pgp-anglais/index-en.html).
We were setting down nicely to our meal, when all of a sudden, the music got louder and in trooped 3 belly-dancers - much to the obvious delight of Ian & Dick:
Then it was back to bed for a reasonably early night, with everyone looking forward to the first day's golf.
