Best day of the year by far today and all the Squash Vets were out in shorts. The practice putting green has got some new, rather regal looking, gilt edged pins:
The hot weather had brought some thunder, lightning and flash floods further up the Dee Valley yesterday and the evidence was there for all to see this morning - none of us had ever seen the Dee so brown and muddy:
None of the early starters seemed to score well, but the course is looking good and it was a delight to quaff a couple of tasty ales (Early Bird from Shepherd Neame and Guzzler from York) on the balcony afterwards.
