As we are now well over one-third of the way through the Quaich season - just 13 weeks left, to be exact - I thought it was about time that you were subjected to some stats:
- 19 players have put at least one score in so far, and average weekly attendance has been 10, which has been about the norm for the past few seasons.
- There have been 5 separate weekly winners - Steve has won 3 times so far; I have won twice and there have been singles from Dick, Jack & Chris.
- There have also been 5 DoD's - Dan, Dick and John M have 2 each, whilst Messrs Sharp & Pollard have one apiece.
- There have been no 40-pointers this season. The highest points total has been 39 - Dick and Steve.
- The best gross score so far is a fairly miserable 79 - from Gary and I.
- The lowest score so far is 22, jointly held by John M, Dan & Rob.
- The lowest weekly winning total is 32 (Jack).
- Conversely, the highest DoD score is 27 (Dick - twice).
Gary's winning Top 10 score last year of 366 was the lowest ever recorded, but, unless things perk up soon, we could be heading for another record low this year. Previously, sub-par rounds don't feature in the leaders' Top 10 scores, but there could be some important 33/34/35 pointers this year.
