DC XV - day 3

It was to be the longest day. A shotgun start at the Creek then dash back and change in to our finery and head off to the World Cup of Racing. Nigel had managed to purloin hospitality tickets for what is one of Dubai's most spectacular shows. But that was for later - first there was golf.

The closing two holes are pretty scary. Here we are at the 17th:

Malcolm didn't quite make the water at one of the holes, but he was still in the hazard and elected to play perched over the edge of some pretty deep water:

The late dinner the previous night and the early start combined to keep the scores very modest, but Nigel again won by a narrow margin - 27 points to my 26. Andrea again did the honours back at Chez Meany when we were all set to go to the World Cup:

Here's the whole team as we arrived at the Meydan stadium course:

A real fun day, but when the final race was run and the World Cup presented, Jennifer Lopez (J-Lo) was doing a concert, and we waited for her to appear but after half an hour or so we got fed up waiting and headed off home.

Today (Sunday) it's the Earth Course, where they play the Race to Dubai. Scores expected to be low again.
