Super Sunday

It was a delightful day today - Dick, Syd and I were the first group out. We had to wait at the 7th tee for a bit, but it was such a nice day we didn't mind at all:

Bill, like me, was correctly attired, but found himself in bunker trouble at the 8th:


It got so warm that even cold-blooded Dick decided he could take his vest off at the 11th:


Afterwards, we sat on the balcony - Peter was the winner with 39 points and bought the rounds of Theakston's Bitter and Landlord. Syd brought in a painting he had done of his moggy:


There was a belated hand out of logo'd balls to the Midsummer Outing winners, followed by a bit of a Senior Moment or two. Syd had gone to put his clubs in the boot of his car and spotted a shoe bag - "not mine" he said - "it must be Keith's" - Syd had taken him to St Andrews on Friday and Keith had travelled down to Edinburgh after the meal - perhaps they had swapped shoe bags? A quick text to Keith revealed that this was not the case. All of a sudden, attention turned to Dick, who had also been travelling in Syd's car on Friday. "Best go and check my locker downstairs", he said. Two minutes later, Dick returned, looking slightly sheepish - similar shoe bags, it turned out:
