There was a mixed competition on at Banchory, so Dick kindly arranged to sign us all on at Inchmarlo for our Sunday morning golf. It was a bitterly cold morning - I went down to Banchory golf club to pick up my Powacaddy and was hit by a sudden hail shower which turned the practice putting green completely white!
Nonetheless we were all present and correct - barring Archie, who was a late call-off - and lined up for Doris to take the obligatory team photo:
The birthday boy was in good fettle, if not form, and was happy to pose with his silly hat on:

Jack and the returning Steve Fulford, seemed amused too.
The main thing was that we got round dry. The course is obviously in a bit of limbo, having just been bought over and with a planning application for houses and a hotel apparently being prepared - the greens were, to the amateur observer, hollow-tined (Syd corrected us on this one - apparently they were just cored), and the fairways a little damp and bare in places, but we all still thoroughly enjoyed it. It's nice to play somewhere other than Banchory for a change.
Anyway, I won the money for the second Sunday in a row with 36 points, and we had some pints of Exmoor Gold back at Banchory Golf Club whilst watching Chelsea stroll to victory at Anfield.
No golf booked for next Sunday as 12 of us are heading off to Spey Valley for the Boat of Garten weekend.
