Here's the first group surveying the damage Rob could have done to our junior membership playing on the practice green whilst his tee shot from the 1st whistled past them, on to the Doo'cot green and down the hill to the tee:
He was disconsolate to say the least:
There's a bit of a deja vu theme to this week's photos. Dick's got a bit of previous when it comes to Powacaddies. He was at it again last night on the 4th fairway, armed with a full tool kit, which he apparently now carries with him all the time:
Just a week after this new tree at the 8th was photographed, having apparently blown over, here it is down again, despite the attempts since then to lash it down against the prevailing wind. It hasn't even been all that windy, so how come it's horizontal once more? Answers on a postcard please.
Enough of that - now for the really interesting bit - the stats! As Rob said, Archie became the first two-time winner this season, but also picked up the dubious honour of doing so with the lowest winning score this season. (It's not easy this, looking for a negative from a positive - but, trust me, I can find them).
Ian McRae gets a few mentions as well - his first outing of the season, becoming the 17th person to post a score this year - and a DoD to boot - his first since his last appearance in the Quaich in Q22 last year. So, like Les recently, Ian's going for the hat-trick next week!
Now I've got to find a positive point for Ian - got it - he equalled (with Les and Jack) the highest DoD score of the season. Three weeks in a row, the lowest score has been 26 points.
Now for the latest chart - the top 5 have played in all 4 Quaichs so far:

2 Cook, Archie 143
3 Taylor, Dick 140
4 Meaden, John 135

7 Salter, Harry 103
8 Stewart, Ian 103

13 Bhagrath, Jas 64
