Q8

From http://bsvgolf.blogspot.com/

Thanks to Rob and apologies about the delay in updating the database - the full file will be on the Yahoo site shortly.

Brief stats:

1) Hugh's first win since 5th August last year

2) Sorry, Rob - you are the 2nd double DoD-er this season, equalling our man in the Algarve - although you at least had the decency to leave a week between DoD's.

3) On the plus (?) side, Rob took the winning/losing DoD score to yet another level, eclipsing Mr Meaden's rather paltry 27 points last week. Who's going to be the first DoD-er to score 30 points this season? The all-time high (since records began in 2003) is 31 points, held equally by Messrs Bhagrath (2003), Freeman (2006) and Black (2008) - can we do better this year?

4) There were level sides last night for a Scotland - RoW match, which the hosts just managed to win by 205 points to 200 - although RoW had the consolation/commiseration of having both the weekly winner and the DoD.

At the top of the table, Mr Consistency Taylor extended his early season lead to 11 points. The top 5 have all played 7 times, the next two 6, and positions 8-10 have each just played 5 times. Not long until scores start to drop off - Dick's at a slight disadvantage here as his lowest score is 34 points, so there could be some narrowing of the gap soon:

1 Taylor, Dick 253
2 Sharp, Ian 242
3 Cook, Archie 238
4 Meaden, John 231
5 Dring, Ian 226
6 Simpson, Jack 192
7 Pollard, Rob 172
8 Gray, Keith 170
9 Stewart, Ian 168
10 Black, Ken 156
11 Corbett, Daniel 105
12 Salter, Harry 103
13 Bhagrath, Jas 100
14 Moir, Gordon 96
15 Gray, Les 83
16 McWhinnie, John 76
17 Riches, Hugh 71
18 McRae, Ian 61
19 Fulford, Steve 59
20 Grigor, Malcolm 31
