DC XII finale

From http://bsvgolf.blogspot.com/

It looked like it might be heading for a photo finish with just one point separating Syd and I going in to the final round, with me having the slight advantage of dropping a lower score than Syd's, effectively giving me a 3 point lead - as long as I could improve on 24 points on the final day's play at Tat.

I did manage to beat my dropping score, but by only one point to take me up to 122 points for the best 4 rounds. Syd, however, romped away with it, scoring a fine 34 points to give him a total of 128 to take the trophy for "only" the 3rd time - and his first win in the Desert Classic since 2004 in U.A.E.

Here's Syd receiving his winning ball from Richard yesterday at Tat:

We did the prize-giving back in my hotel room - and drank more of the free booze supplied in the "all-inclusive" deal of course!:

The guys bought me a gift shirt, modelled here:

One of the ironies was the TV screen in my room which displayed the following information when we got back last evening (Tuesday) - it was at least 2 days too late telling us this!

Enough for now - more stats to follow in due course. Today's a lazy day by the pool as our flight home is not until after midnight.
