No thanks to Rob, I've managed to update the database with yesterday's 13 scores. For the record, they were:
- Pollard, Rob 43
- Simpson, Jack 40
- Fulford, Steve 40
- Stewart, Ian 38
- Sharp, Ian 37
- McWhinnie, John 37
- Corbett, Daniel 35
- Taylor, Dick 35
- Gray, Keith 35
- Riches, Hugh 30
- McRae, Ian 30
- Gray, Les 30
- Cook, Archie 27
Rob's terrific score of 43 points was the best of this season - so far. It was Rob's 2nd win of 2011, whereas it was Archie's first DoD since July last year.
Scoring was pretty good, with three 40 pointers - the best of the season so far, taking the total for 2011 up to 13, which is now ahead of the running rate for the last couple of years.
Just 7 weeks left to go in this year's Quaich (but only 4 for me), and the Top 10 from the Leader Board, with dropping scores in brackets, now looks like:
- Stewart, Ian 380 (34)
- Sharp, Ian 368 (32)
- Pollard, Rob 364 (33)
- Corbett, Daniel 363 (31)
- Simpson, Jack 347 (31)
- Taylor, Dick 331 (30)
- Riches, Hugh 309 (23)
- McRae, Ian 300 (27)
- Gray, Keith 284
- Meaden, John 205
As Rob said, it was a glorious evening, but shadows are beginning to lengthen:
and here's one of Master Blaster Simpson, the Albatross Man, in action:
