Dick sent me a note with a photo of the tree down beside the 14th green in full bloom. This tree is always the first to blossom every year and Dick questioned whether this was the earliest ever? I thought perhaps not, as I recall one year when February was splendid, but I've been unable to produce any photographic evidence to prove or disprove.

The only other photo I could find in my archives from about this time of year was in 2007 - this photo was taken on 25th March that year:
Nothing like as full bloom as this year.
A harbinger of a wonderful golf season to come?
