Q13

From http://bsvgolf.blogspot.com/

Yes - 13 weeks gone already - only 10 left now - and we're past the longest day, so it's definitely all downhill from here as far as daylight is concerned - but surely the weather will get better - it must, mustn't it?

Hugh had the misfortune of playing with me last night, so when he made a mistake at the Doo'cot and duffed his tee shot just a few yards, the camera was there at the ready:

Rob presented the winner's ball to Ken before he had to dash off:

Amazingly, it was Ken's first win for over 7 years!

Scores have been very poor this year and, frankly, the Quaich's anyone's to win - nobody has any decent scores. There have only been three 40-pointers all season and the current top 10 shows me leading, but believe me, it's only because I've played 10 games - all Dick has to do is turn up next week and he'll be at the top of the pile - at least for a week:

Top 10 Total Ave. Wins DoD's Apps.
1 Stewart, Ian 323 323 32.3   1 10
2 Simpson, Jack 310 333 30.3   1 11
3 Taylor, Dick 306 306 34.0 2   9
4 Sharp, Ian 292 292 32.4 1   9
5 Pollard, Rob 291 291 29.1   2 10
6 Bhagrath, Jas 251 251 31.4 1 1 8
7 McRae, Ian 249 249 31.1 1 1 8
8 Black, Ken 231 231 33.0 1   7
9 Grant, Gary 231 231 33.0 1   7
10 Meaden, John 230 230 28.8   2 8

To put it all in to context, my winning score last year was 391 - that's 68 points more than I've got just now - I'd have to average 39 points per week for the remaining 10 weeks to equal last year's score.

Come on somebody - make a challenge - this could be your year.
