Rob's report accidentally omitted Keith's score of 32 points last night, so this has now been added to the database, which has been updated and posted on the Yahoo site at http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/BanchorySquashVeteransGolf/files/Summer%20Quaich/

Neither Dick, Chris nor I improved our previous Top 10 scores this week, but the big mover was Steve, who finally completed his 10th match last night, although he scored a slightly disappointing 32 points, but this was still enough to see him leaping up from no. 13 to no. 3 in the charts.


Dick and Steve still have a chance to overtake Gary next week if he doesn't improve his Top 10 score, but nobody else is in with a realistic chance.

I intend to play next week and am available any time - as soon after the leaders as possible please Rob. By tradition, we normally let the 3 leaders go out first and that would mean Gary, Dick and Steve playing together if Rob intends to follow the familiar pattern.

Can I also suggest we spend some of the kitty surplus next week by having a little bit of grub after golf? The winner will be filling the Quaich, so best to leave cars at home.

Lastly, a complaint at my apparent demotion - when did I become merely the Gruppenführer again? I thought that was Rob's official title now after I was formally promoted to Obergruppenführer early on this season.
