Just 53 days to go now until the first Wednesday of this year's Quaich on 3rd April, and for those going to Turkey on this year's Desert Classic, it's just 63 days until we fly from Glasgow on Saturday 13th April. We currently have 12 going on this year's DC - Nigel is now joining us, so the full line-up (so far) is:

Any more for the bun-fight?
My previous blog posting omitted a date for the Midsummer Outing, but this is now fairly well established as being held on the nearest Friday to the Longest Day, making it 21st June this year. Get the date in your diary now. As to location, nothing has been decided yet, but normally it's held fairly locally. Last year it was Tarland, the year before was Ballater and, in 2010 it was Edzell. Any suggestions as to where we should go this year? Let me know and I will check availability.
That just leaves 4 semi-regular outings with dates still to be fixed:
- Blairgowrie (normally a Friday early/mid June)
- Fraserburgh - fell off the radar last year, but would try for late May/early June
- St. Andrews (Eden) - normally mid-late August
- Upmarket - Trump this year we thought, having played Castle Stuart mid-September last year
You should also note that The Challenge is normally scheduled for the last Sunday in September, which would make it 29th September this year - another date for the diary. All Scots to be on duty this year - no excuses - we want our trophy back.
