IC XV prize-giving

We held the prizegiving and stats review outside at the pool bar last night, but Dick (who had carried it for Ken) forgot to bring the trophy along so had to scuttle back to his room to get it. Jas had brought along the Wee Cup from last year but we didn't really have any worthwhile nominations - at least not until we looked at the engraving on the Iberian Cup. Ken had won it last year in Mallorca, but the engraving suggested we had been in Tenerife:

That was it then - Ken was instantly and unanimously awarded the Wee Cup by Jas:

Of course, "it was all Irene's fault"!

The stats for the week were quickly summarised and we noted that Buenavista had worked out to be the (equal) "easiest" course where we had scored most points. Conversely, Tecina had been the hardest, judging by our scores - although we were playing off a number of back tees that day.

The rest of it was virtually all mine - best 6 day score, best gross, eclectic winner and, of course, winner of the trophy itself - for the 4th time - and I was duly presented with the trophy by Ken:

So that's it for another year. Next time around Turkey looks like being the destination. I'm off now to get my knee done this week so I'll be out of action for a while but I hope to see you all on the golf course next year some time.
