Our Man in the Algarve made his 2014 debut in the Quaich and became the 21st name on this year's database.
Conditions were ideal and it was a surprise that, with two exceptions, scoring was, at best, modest. Chris recorded his first win this season with 39 points, just pipping Ian D. There was then a gap before the next best (me) on 33 points.
DoD was a closely fought contest and yet again it went to countback, with John M narrowly "beating" Jack, with both on 28 points.

With Dick not able to take part this week, Dan is now the only ever-present, but Ian D has made a significant move and has now managed to complete 5 rounds, despite his fears that he wouldn't be able to play enough this year. If he is able to get another 9 or 10 games in, he would be the early season favourite to take the Quaich - for the first time.
