DC XVII day 2

The outlook wasn't too great as we headed west to Palmares on Tuesday, but it all turned out fine in the end and everyone enjoyed the "new" Palmares - much better than our previous visit there in 2003. Here's John about to tee off at the 4th hole:

Scores were much better too. Les took the honours with 35 points and Syd presented him with a (mock) prize ball:

Dick got the longest drive again and Bob and I the NP's.

After two rounds the leader board shows:

Davies, John 64
Gray, Les 60
Freeman, Syd 60
Irvine, Bob 56
Taylor, Dick 54
Grigor, Malcolm 52
Stewart, Ian 51
Gray, Keith 50

In the evening we dined at Casavostra and Syd presented Les with the real prize ball:

Today it's Quinta do Lago Laranjal - and it looks sunny outside this morning.
