It was Ian's farewell do and he was in the leading group:



I was playing in the 2nd group with Keith, Ken P and Hugh. We decided the teams for our little match by the usual longest and shortest drives. I was last to go and frankly, there was no competition. Unless I made an absolute hash of my drive, it was going to be me and Hugh - here's why:



That was Hugh playing his 2nd shot at the first - as you can see, not even up to the Doo'cot green. His next shot was of similar quality - here he is after playing his 3rd:

and so on - here he is playing his 4th - still nowhere near the end of the trees

To be fair, Hugh came good in the end - but what a start!
