Best laid plans. We knew we were in trouble when Irene Page was held up at Palma airport on her return to the UK - on the plane we were due board for a 14:25 departure from Aberdeen. Long story short - we were eventually bussed to Edinburgh, flew from there and finally got in to our beds at 2 am in the morning.
Nonetheless, our first day's golf at Santa Ponsa went pretty well - apart from the fact that we were right in the middle of a large group of Belgians - they may be good at chocolate and football - but golf? - never. It took us five and a half hours, waiting every single shot.
Winner on the day was Malcolm, just pipping me on countback with us both scoring 34 points. The Youngsters beat the OAP's in both matches so we're two up in the week long challenge.
We were upgraded to 2 bedroom suites with fantastic balconies with great views over the Med. G & T's first then out for dinner at a local restaurant.
Today is Bendinat.
More news and photos later.
