St Andrews Outing

It was back to the Eden course this year and 15 cars drove down, arriving in good time for the team photo:

It was a bit of a misty day in the Auld Grey Toon, but it was mild and the heavy rain forecast for late afternoon stayed well away. Conditions were excellent for scoring with the greens slowed down to reasonable levels by the mist - and everyone did much better than last year's difficult day at the Castle course.

I won again with a score of 42 points, with Ian Sh. in second place with 39 points. Gordon pipped Malcolm to 3rd place on countback with 38 points.

Rob and Harry got the NP's and Gary the LD. The team prize was convincingly won by Ian D, Raymond and myself with an average score of 37.7.

The only thing that went wrong was the plan afterwards to go across to the Balgove Steak Barn for a meal, only to find out that it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We quickly hatched a plan to go to the Drumoig Hotel instead and we ate overlooking the course there, which prompted the idea to hold this year's Tayside Outing there.

Now a few photos Ian took on the course:
