Those of us that went on the very first Summer Tour in 1999, when we travelled down to Ayr to see Dan (who was working there then) will recall that we stayed at the Chestnuts Hotel (http://www.chestnutshotel.com/index.php). Well, guess where I was staying this weekend when I was down for a family wedding?:
Lovely little hotel - nice beer garden, a GBG entry and some good real ales - and they've upgraded the rooms and, thankfully, improved the plumbing since 1999!
13 years ago, Bill, Peter and I stayed over an extra night and went for a curry to - where else but Ayr India?
Nice memories.
